cheers for that mate. she's a beauty just like the male. does she have the blue spangling down her like the male on certain angles or is this the most blue she shows?

Yeah she does have some blues on the flanks and around the face but nowhere near the males color. Her beauty shows when they're ready to spawn, she absolutely glows a bright yellow color! Hear's another shot of him with another flash to bring out the color on his gill plates.

This is the smaller male that was around 7" a year ago this month! I had a male that was around 17" when I let him go about 6 months ago. This guy was turning out to be a better looking Umbee so I gave the other fish to a friend who kept begging me for one! This pic is of the fish pictured above last June.

i bet she looks really nice in person! sorry for the million and 1 questions i've just never owned or seen any umbees untill my current one that i have. finding it hard to decide on it's sex lol
