Hi there isn't much info on how to care for umbee's. I have a 150 gallon tank 40" long 30"wide 30" tall wanting to put a umber in there

Here are my 2 cents that are very generic in nature , but applicable to most .....
The basic things that you need to look out for is
Water quality/parameters
Water changes ( 40% - 50% every week )
Good quality filter
Good quality pellet with occasional treats like night crawlers etc...
These should do the trick.

Hope this helps

As a growout, that tank will be fine for a couple of years. But, for life, you'll want 300+ gallons, 8'+ tank for an umbee. They'll easily hit 20"+ when cared for properly.

If that is the tank size you want to stay with, no way will an umbee fit in there for long. Would be a good grow out for a while but will need a bigger tank past about 12" i'd say.

That's a fish that'll eventually grow to almost half the length of that tank. I'd skip the Umbee and look for something better suited for that tank. That's a unique tank, and I'm sure you'll get a lot of interesting stocking suggestions if you're open to them.

Well actually I am still contemplating on what I want for my custom tank/tank and I finally decided on 2 300 gallon tanks
