Ive got 5 grow outs (smallest 3-4" biggest about 5.5") ,one maybe a male (or a seriously nice female).Thier fun fish to keep but vicious as hell 
.My big one completly ate a tin foil barb almost the same size and killed 3 others w/in a week.My pics are terrible 
(otherwise Id post -flash washes out color and w/o is even worse)

I have a Parachromis Dovii and a Caquetaia umbriferus (not in the same tank ) and believe me if I had to choose only one, I would choose the umbee. Doviis have a tendency of hiding most of the time, where Umbee are extremely active - looking for something to kill not eat. Wave a piece of beef heart in front of a tank housing an Umbee and see what happens. yes, Doviis have a nice all around coloration but never compare a dovii to a full grown Umbee. Never!!
