Very nice looking fish.

I looked in old threads and still have not seen the purpose of the ape or gorilla reference. What is the significance?

Thank you! and as far as growth rate, These bad boys grow extremely fast! From my observation I would say faster then the blues :)

LOL!!! This guy:screwy: Does a Dovii look like a Wolf to you? Does a Managuense look like a Jaguar to you? How about a redtiger Motaguense? Can you see why they would call it a "RED TIGER" right??? Will if you cant see the Gorilla reference to this fish then maybe being observant is a skill you lack and this isn't the hobby for you.. But Ill help you to see better, For one the fish is BLACK, like a Gorilla! It has a short blunted snout, Like a Gorilla! It has an impressive Nuchal Hump like the dome of a GORILLA!!!! AND is straight out the Jungle Like KING KONG!!!!!!!! Do you see that now?????
