Bogwood, never raise your own meat.....you will end up touching many many things that will gross you out

I've butchered my own chicken before. He had a particularly lovely habit of jumping at my face with claws extended. So, my friend came over, and we got it done, and made soup out of him. Chicken noodle soup had never tasted better!!

Seriously though, I do raise my own meat. I have raised pigs, I raise chickens, my uncle raises cows, I have yet to try duck though, or goat. Since I'm attached to the ones I have.

We can't really keep animals like that over here in the UK.

I think a friend of mine mentioned that there's not a lot of farms over there....am I right?

Anyways, that's derailing.

Fish aren't really desinged to eat anything but seafood. Warm-blooded animals have a body tempterature hot enough to break down the fats in meat. Cold-blooded animals don't, so they require fats that break down at a lower temperature. Like fish or shrimp.

mine feast on soul fille's redrock cod :P they like that but its a bit fatty!!! & im gettin them beefheart & shrimp with shells today & i will give em some oh and they eat CRAWFISH LOL they destroy them!!! minus there claws cause they can hurt me so i bet theyed claw my fish good lol... so they dont get claws

I think he was only asking because thanksgiving is coming up, and he was trying to let them feast with the family.

Obviously i dont think he was asking if he can feed his piranha turkey liver as the main staple of its diet.

NO Jumping, no kicking... trust me my dad owns a farm, with chickens , pigs, and he had ducks last year (AS PETS ONLY). Raising ur own meat is awesome!

But even though raising your meat is good i like fresh venison best!

i agree!

I raise my own food all the time!! We had 2 turkeys a couple of years ago, a 35 pounder named thanksgiving, and a 41 pounder named Christmas!! I raised them myself, and they were scrumptious!!
