UNBELIEVABLE MATH PROBLEM

Here is a math trick so unbelievable that it will stump you. Personally i would like to know who came up with this and why that person isn't running the country. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in you Head)

1. Key in the first three digits of you phone number(Not the area code)
2. Multiply by 80
3. Add1
4. Multiply by 250
5. Add to this the last 4 digits of you phone number
6. Add TO THIS the last 4 digits of you phone number again.
7. Subract 250
8. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer?????

Thats awesome. But it didnt show up my exact phone number. It missed the '5' in the middle. Perhaps it's because I have eight numbers? But everything else was spot on!

if you simplify everything and replace the first 3 digit as x and the last 4 digits as y it comes out to:

x(10000)+y = phoneNumber

not really that amazing.

t you're right you've basically giving them your phone number in two separate parts and they just did some calculations to give it right back to you combined. The 1000 is to make sure everything's in their right place with the 7 digit phone #'s
