What’s next: Minnesota is next up on the schedule, but there’s uncertainty concerning whether the Bears will be able to play the Vikings at the Metrodome next Monday night because the facility’s inflatable roof caved in under the weight of heavy snows in the area.

Why does a facility in minnesota have an inflatable roof to fight the elements? hahaha

It's just old and finally gave way. It's held up this long. I think they should play at the new UofM TCF stadium. It's outdoors so it should be interesting.

I was at that game. I actually like the dome. A lot of old memories from childhood. Plus the location is nice I drive to the Mall of America and take the light rail train and drops you off right in front of it. I know it's small but for some reason I enjoy it.

When I was down in Minne for the game vs the Dolphins, my buddies and I were talking about how much of a piece of crap the Metrodome is. Why do the Twins get a nice new stadium, but the Vikes are stuck in a crappy dome... I guess this will change that!

Sentimental value aside, the dome is/was junk. A team playing in the NFL, with the kind of money they have, should get a new dome/stadium. If you look around the league, most teams have upgraded/newer facilities...

There are smaller steel beams that ran across it, but it is pressurized . . .not really like an inflatable tube, but the whole stadium was kept at a higher pressure i believe. Anyway, I shoveled my roof off today so it would happen to our house haha! This is me this morning, lots of snow!
