It is raining hard so the box got wet and I must say it is certainly much bigger then I thought. I knew it was gonna be big but I wasn’t prepared for how big it would be.
The panels have the instructions imprinted on them and each of the 3 panels have them in a different language which is very helpful.
It’s quite big, I took measurements to give a better way to visualize it.
The rest of the stuff that came in the box and wow, look at the size of that intake cover.
Oops, I forgot the outtake in the picture which is large as well. The balls move around with a little effort so you can aim them anywhere.
Turns out the little white knobs don’t screw off, they are to be pulled.
There’s a tube connected to the lid of the filter, I haven’t encountered that before in other canisters which is interesting.
The top layer.
It has two of these nice little red arms to help you lift it out

.
The second layer of media.
The third and final layer of media, not sure what the little bags are for. Perhaps for putting some sort of media in?
I noticed this and I believe this is where you can connect an attachment to syphon water out of the tank like I read in some reviews of this filter. The white and red piece comes off.
Well there we have it, the breakdown of my fx6..
