On my 125 oscar tank i do 50% twice a week, and have never had a bb crash, that tank is filtered with a marineland c-360 canister, aquaclear 110 and a 20 gallon sump(800 gph),the reason i do 50 % twice a week is they are poop factories and my nitrates get to 40ppm from 10ppm in 4 days but the ammonia and nitrate stay at 0ppm so i dont agree that that will case the cloudy water or maybe i am just lucky.

With all those filters + Sump, you wouldn't have to worry too much about a BB crash. Most of the BB would be well settled in the filter media, even if you are doing what is technically 100% WC's a week.

it does sound like it keeps trying to re establish itself , as the above posters said I would cut down on my water changes the percentage I do is ussually 25-30 % 2 times per week and once a month I will do a 50 % .... The wife likes to over feed the fish .... the simplist answer I can give is you can buy stuff to jump start your BB , I would get some and then add recomended dose ... and that should help with your milky water

I add api stress zyme and stress coat when i do water changes. I havnt cleaned my eheim yet, its only been running for just over a month. I do clean my marineland filters when they get dirty.

That's good, stress zyme & stress coat will help the re-establishing process go along. Don't worry too much about cleaning your eheim, it's pretty much new the BB will need time to settle on the media.

Well i gave my shrimp to my friend today. Feel kinda bad, its in a smaller tank with a puffer that is trying to eat it.

But i cleaned my sand today, and did a water change since i had a dead fish (shrimps last victim) and water is all clear now. Hope it stays that way.

What kind of shrimp is killing your fish? Shrimp usually eat fish after they die of other causes.
