Uncommon cat id?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
In my eye, it's a sturio, aka fox, catfish. Rare to see with an intact snout. IME very hard to wean over to prepped feed.

AFAIK, malarmo (the giant) has never entered the trade and has never been seen on MFK or PCF in private hands.

Any Platisilurus for sale can be safely assumed to be the little guy mucosus.

Maybe the snout grows faster than the rest of the body lol

It may depend on the damage the snout takes too. Those with finely formed or just bent snouts seem longer. Those with shorter snouts look to have a chunky snouts as though they ran into something and broke/ flattened the end. Maybe stunting the snout growth.
All speculation though, as you say, their maybe a second type,
Platysilurus seejay

Or Platystomatichthys Seejay
