Did you ever see this thread of mine? They have just about anything legal to sell at Pennsylvania reptile shows. Everything but native state reptiles.

They craziest stuff I've seen at the shows here were full grown croc monitors, tiapans, black mambas, king cobras and other hot snakes.

I know! I've never seen or heard of that species before.

Really? They had one at the pet stoere I vollunteered at a few years ago. It's tail broke off (not suppost too) and it died.

I saw that thread of yours, great, I really like that copper head.

Well, it was a decent show. Nothing too out there, but some pretty cool stuff. I took a couple pics, but they're not on my computer yet.
There were some Suriname toads which I don't see too often. I was a little disappointed in the turtles I saw. There were what seems like half the species at the last show I went to.

At this show I was really scoping out the red tail boas. I'm really wanting one now. It still might be about 2 years till I can get one (must be permanently moved out of my parents' house first), but I'm looking around. I saw a Suriname red tail with the reddest tail I've ever seen on one-like stop sign red. I would have loved to have picked that one up. I also saw an "ABB" red tail female that was gorgeous. Nice tail and tons of pink down the sides. What does the "ABB" stand for?

We had one that used to be called Lee Watson Reptile Swap that was in Streamwood, IL. Now I know that they were shut down a few times because people where selling "hot reptile". It's illegal to own in Illinois. It has since moved to Wheaton and is called Scott's All Animal Expo. They have reptiles, birds, dogs, small animals and now fish. They have it there twice a month. I have to say I went to the NRBC in Tinley Park, IL and I have to say I wasn't really impressed especially since it was 3x as much as the local expo. I pay $5 to get into Wheaton and it was $15 to get into the Tinley show and to me they didn't have nearly the selection as the other shows and their price where really high except for some of the supplies.

I hear Sewer Fest in WI is pretty good.

I would like a Water Mocasin as a nice display snake. That would be place in a nice natural habitat set up.

A lot nicer looking snake then a water mocasin is a copper head. Much more colorful and there bite is not as bad. Some other good mildly venemous snakes are false water cobras and mangrove snakes. I have seen these two at shows and they are nice looking.

Went to a local show, about a month ago, not really looking for anything. Almost left with a GTP adult, that the guy was trying to sell me for $175 (rediculously cheap because it was closing time). Then, almost bought a Whitelip (which I've wanted for a while), until the guy told me he had an Australian Water Python (which I've been looking for over a year)...picked her up for $100.

I was putting some pictures on my computer yesterday and realized I never posted the pics from the show.

First is the Suriname redtail. It looks pretty red in the pic, but it really doesn't do justice to its color in person.
Then, a Pipa pipa. I've seen them at the show before, but not for a while. Sometime I'd like to have a nice big tank of these guys...
Then last a couple pics of some cool mountain chameleons. They are a really interesting looking species I'd also like to try out sometime in the future
