uncommon rays

i know two guys, one is breeding plesiotrygon iwamae and one is breeding plesiotrygon sp. blacktailed antenna ray.

Thank you for those links. The tails on those pups are incredible! I wonder why they evolved such long tails.

agreed with skynoch and firemedic.

blacks are the fad right now but you can usually find yepezi's and orbs if you wanted one. hystrix are here for now but for how long no one knows. I love iwamaes if i had the tank to accomodate that amazing tail. I would also like to have a constallata and scobina these two are not very common over here but have some nice looks.

Most rays are seasonal so as I tell most people, if you want a certain species then you better have the money in hand and then be patient. Like jeffers said hystrix popped up for a week or so then they disappeared and besides one more import you won't see them again till the end of this year. Are you looking for something rare or are you just researching?

It`s funny how P.constellata don`t seem to exist in captivity... never heard of or seen anyone that keeps them (one exeption). I would guess that a ray looking like that would be one of the most populare and sold after stingrays... but for some reason they`re not. They are not even mentioned in most stingray forums.

Love the look of this ray , never seen one for sale so i'd imagine when they do come for sale they'll top the black rays for price due to the rareity of them

Has it really been determined that P.constellata is actually a different species or an orb type. You will find those same spikes on alot of different species.

Love the look of this ray , never seen one for sale so i'd imagine when they do come for sale they'll top the black rays for price due to the rareity of them

doubt that look at the boesemani's those are very very nice but are the same and cheaper than alot of the black rays. plus constellata's dont have amazing patterns just those huge spikes
