They are 120gs.. One is the permenant home for my fahaka puffer, but they also have acrylic dividers incase I need to make space. The other one will likely house a Lince Catfish with a drape over it, as I hear they are skittish cats..

Those are overflow boxes.. all the tanks have holes drilled out of the back of them, but you can modify them with bio-media and sponges to make a very effecient filter. They also act as a heater guard against stingrays, etc. I think I'm going to sell some too..

are these the notorious petco going out of buisness must give away free tanks?

Yep! We have 16 in total. 2 more in the basement, acting as refugium overflows.. and 2 more one with a leak and one that is cracked, we use them to store decor..

:D :headbang2 :D

Thanks for all the support everyone!!

:woot:

I will continue to update "Under Construction" threads with before and after photos. Today I finished up plumbing all the powerheads, and getting heaters wired. All of the tanks now have substrate in them, and are clearing up nicely.

I really appreciate it MFK! Prepare for some awesome oddballs for sale in these tanks!

They are like 3x16", those are the only 'big' overflow boxes I have.. They were designed as the overflows for the saltwater tanks at PetCo. They originally had a protein skimmer built in, but I removed all of that and made space for bio-media. They work very effeciently, and really don't cut out that much tankspace. Hides everything real well too (heaters, pumps, media, etc)

One more thing I just noticed: You have a surge protector attached to the wall, but it runs straight down to the plug. It doesn't have a drip loop. If anything splashes on that, it will kill that outlet by flipping the breaker at a minimum. In other words, find a better place for it or add a drip loop to the surge protector before it meets the plug.

Hope that helps. Nice work so far.

That was just temporary for drills and extension cords.. Everythings will get re-wired and the extension cords will be above the water levels.

Thanks for the help, you sure are good at pointing out faults..
