no this would be on most likely a 40G breeder or something mid sized as a grow out tank for my bichirs and other babies...I have a 70 up and running now and hopefully get a bigger one in the summer maybe 120G or 180G...and then i got another 20 gallon tank that i could use as the grow out... hopefully soon

I suggest using a filter that is easier to clean... and cleaning it often...
An AC 110 on a bare bottomed 40 br with a powerhead pushing the waste toward the intake should make for a very clean 40 br...
and would be a lot easier to set up/maintain that the contrapsion you are currently considering...

okay thank you...so i'd put the AC 110 in the back left corner do the tube it right in the corner and then put the power head in the front right corner at a 45 degree angle pointing right at the AC 110? my "contraption" would have been a total pain now that i think of it. But thats why i asked Thanks!
