I'm not saying certain parts of the show arn't scripted but I think that for this part a reasonable explination would be that since he was supossed to be shooting a documentary about entry level jobs that it would have covered the home life of the people as well. And they simply could have done a real walk up to the house with crew and a second one with the crew insode to shot.
My wonder is how long do you think that the high ups will truly care. I mean the guy seemed to care but over time living that nice lifestyle that he does it would be easy for him to forget the hardships of the people that make him rich.
