That looks great. Once you get that stronger powerhead on there that'll be plenty of jet to push around the dirt and food and poop that you want to end up in the filter.

:headbang2

so I'm assuming that yours turned out really good too? I think I'm going to do a bare bottom tank in that one anyways, I just threw the gravel in there to speed up the cycling process.

looks great im definately gonna give this a go i think

try it man, it took me like 10 minutes and about $5 worth of PVC which I already had most of. The best suggestion I have is get the biggest power head you can find to hook up to it. Its basically like having 5 small power heads instead of one big one.

Yeah it works like a charm. So you are just going to leave the PVC on the bottom? You dont care that about how it'll look without it being covered?

wow blame it on the little guy!!! imo black 3/8 flex pipe works better than white pvc, the flex allows you more freedom of design without all the costly fittings. also you can if you want buy the small brass nozzles sililar to a sprinkler head to fit this pipe. they make a neat nozzle. landscape places that do sprinkler systems can set you up

looks good for just a saw and eyeball you should build one for everybody larger power head will make a big difference

I just dumped a pile of sand over the top of it, pics tomorrow when the clouds of sand settle.

Why not use 2 threaded 90%'s and make adjustable nozzels??? Another question, If you don't have alot of decor in the tank whats the purose of it being on the bottom? I understand with a reef or a pile of rocks for africans it would minimize dead spots. The mulm is still gonna build up in the sand regaurdless. If it was setup at the top blowing down it would be concealed by the top trim and canopy. I'm missing somthing here.

it doesn't push water good enough to put it at the top of the tank and I don't care if it looks dumb there because it works. My filter, heater and bubbler look dumb too but they're necessities for my tank.

this is what it looks like now.
