Underlighting

Does anyone have an aquarium that is 60" long and has a 36" light fixture? I'm tryin to see what it will look like... Should I get a 36" or 48" fixture I kinda want brighter in the middle and darker on the edges! Any suggestions or picture?

I am currently using a 4' light on my 6' tank. My tank is still a little cloudy, but here is a thread on this same subject (it has good pics!)

I have a 36" & 48" lightstrip. The 48" fixture is the total length of the strip. The 36" light strip has only a 24" fixture . So I guess 36" would be better since its a shorter light bulb.

I used a 36" light on a 72" tank. So to be honest either would work. I would go for the 36", in the interest in saving money!

I'm using the exact same for now but personally want to have two 36" lights. I like a brighter tank.
