Bettas & Rainbow fish..

Rainbowfish are the fish version of a fat kid on the short bus wearing a colorful shirt. ;)

Underrated on MFK? Anything small. Dwarf cichlids stand out.

Are we talking about the same kind of rainbow?.. this is a Parkisoni Rainbow... which I keep, I think they would be great as dithers in a tank with larger fish.. for one their quick and second they get fairly large.. I've seen some around 6in and thick!!

Yes, I know what you have in your tanks and that is exactly what I was referring to. ;)

They're probably the least intelligent fish I've ever seen. And I've cared for more rainbow species than most people have probably even seen in person. :)

Most under rated canister filter is Nu-Clear and/or Ocean Clear filters. It's hard for me to believe not many monster fish keepers use these systems. By far the best canisters out there. I have 7 of them!

I don't expect much out of them in referece to intelligence, but really I don't expect much out of any fish unless it's SA...

All I'm saying is I think they are underrated and more people should keep them and not feel like you do about them...

I feel the way I do because I have experience with them. IMO they're ugly and WAY overpriced and theres a lot of other fish that are far more under appreciated than rainbow fish.

On this site I'd have to go with saltwater, triggerfish specifically. They can get quite large, have tons of personality, and aren't that hard to keep. There are so many people that have awesome huge tanks and just put the same old fish in them.
