it calculates how many grams of salt you will need for the volume of water contained in the dimensions you enter to reach the desire salinity that you also enter.

AKA if you dont have a marine tank just pretend it doesnt exist.

If you want RO water, then 0%. If you want tap water, most tap water is 0.5% salt by volume. I am a wealth of useless knowledge.
