its because of evaporation. If you waited long enough all your water would evaporate but almost all of your salt would remain. So if the amount of salt stay constant as the amount of water decreases you end up with a high salinity. The simple fix is to add more RO fresh water until salinity is back to normal

totally agree! the salt you put in there wouldn't go anywhere.. after WC and adding salt into it, it would surely increase your tank's salinity..

so ever 2 weeks add fresh water (20%-25%) to my tank right? untill its to normal. but still the fish dont seem to mind. like i said thier more active then ever.

but its incorrect. Your fish have evolved to live in a certain salinty so I would advise keeping them in that salinity.

and no dont juat add fresh water every two weeks. Add fresh water as needed to maintain the proper salinity. Then n top of that do your regular water changes too. If you just add water...your never taking out any waste :irked:

.023-.025 is what you should be looking for . 25 ifmostly inverts. Your salinity will gradually climb do to evaporation. So you just need to add fresh water a lot of times to keep the salinity the same target lvl.
