undestructable aquarium heaters?

unfortunatly, i lost my 22" giant gourami and my 18" walking catfish due to my heater breaking. luckily it was just those 2 but i dont want it to happen again
does anyone have a recommended unbreakable heater in mind ? i was using ebo jager

Never used one but I think the Visitherm Stealth is a good candidate since it has a plastic casing instead of glass.

any heater can be broken with a BIG pissed off fast swimming fish...lol

When you say your heater broke, do you mean it was glass and the glass was broken?
Or do you mean it got stuck in the on position and cooked the tank?

In either case you're going to want a titanium heater. The big fancy ones with a LED temperature display I don't think have the relay contacts that can burn closed. i.e. they aren't likely to cook the tank.

yeah the titaniums are most likely the best in regards to not being broken by a big, pissed off fish, but I think the Visitherm Stealths would be hard to break as well. The only drawback to the stealths is they have edges where a pissed off or stressed out fish could scrape some scales off if they ran into it in the right place.

i have one that is inline with the discharge tube on my cannister filter, work great no more broken in tank heater
