They're especially vulnerable when they are less than 3". A UV sterilizer would be a good idea; these guys are prone to intestinal problems (hexameta), and the uv keeps the parasites under control. Keep the bottom REALLY clean while they're growing out, as it is suspected that they get infected by ingesting contaminated poop. If they stop eating, or start spitting out their food, you need to start treating them for parasites. Sean - no they are in my 120g (now a grow out tank). Will move them to the 220g when they get bigger.

Good luck with them; they're great fish if you can keep them alive.
