So we were having a heat wave here and I was moving and I found wigglers from these 2. Really bad timing! I decided to keep them just to see what might come out. I got the male from Cjbarth and the female came from a petstore labeled as a Texas. Anybody have any predictions for the fry? I have read others experiences that say around 50% will be SB. I also wonder if there is a chance of any faders? Does anybody know if fading is a dominant or recessive trait?

Although it didn't seem like many were interested.. I'm posting an update for informational purposes.

I have around 40-50 fry that are currently at about 1/4" and less. The majority seem to be SB or at least very fat. I have absolutely no experience with SB fish at this size so I could be wrong with my judgement on that. Interestingly enough there are some that are fading at their current size. I would say around 5 or so. There are many color variations. Some look like regular Texas coloration, others are in the dark juvenile dress, a few look yellow except for a tail spot. I feed them crushed NLS, Kens premium veggie wafers and emerald entree.... I'll try to get pics but it is difficult with my phone.

Here's some pics.. The last one is the best I could get of a fader. You can see he is kinda splotchy..

Looking good! They look like they're growing fast.

I've been noticing a few runts with notched heads...So I'm guessing there might be some parrotish looking ones.. Hopefully.
