My old huge pair of albinos would never eat fish either.
I even threw some 3" clown knives (Male oscar had to be 14", and THICK), and the knives on occasion would dart accidentally right into his mouth. He would just 'spit' them out. Never bit down on them once. Feeders were ignored. If it moved, the pair would just chase it away from their territory, but would never chomp.
