Unique crab/fish tank

I bought the mid size version of this the underwater lagoon. As much as I tried was unable to keep it from floating. I tried gravel, then rocks, then bigger rocks even cut back on air flow until it would have been useless for it inhabitants. Short of sitting a brick on top, or silicone it to the bottom of the tank don't think it's possible to keep it down. Great idea, not practical in real life use..

oh wierd! two lfs in my area have them up and running just fine in a couple tanks without anything holding them down. I'll have to ask next time I go in.

the force required to hold such a structure down would be equal to the weight of the water displaced by the bubble. Basic buoyancy.

True if the air in the space was static. However the air pump is constantly supplying air while air escapes in large bubble burst instead of a slow equal displacement of air.
