I need a fish to give me my love for them back...
When I upgrade for the pleco (hopefully a 150 or so) I want a fish that will stand out, something I can be proud of. My LFS has any rare fish I ask for (they shipped in xbacks for someone)...

What is a nice fish that you don't hear of very often???

Garra bicornuta
Schistura balteata
Schistura corica
Schistura savona
Nemacheilus masyai/Nemacheilus pallidus
Garra flavatra
Garra rufa
Garra cambodgiensis
Garra pingi pingi

Pleco compatible, not over 200$, not over min 150 gallons.
Those are my only limits.

I think that everyone has one or a few fish that keep them interested. It all depends on what YOU like. I found this out after keeping fish that everyone else liked, but I eventually found to be rather uninteresting. I should have researched all of the suggestions thoroughly before acting. Just a suggestion to keep you from going down the same road. I wish I could add some other input, but I don't have much experience with pleco's and compatible tankmates.

Are parayas picky about water???

Hmm Chequer/Checker Barbs aren't seen as often in the hobby anymore and grow to 10cm.I dunno what 'Pleco Compatable' is so..

People seem to admire festae, if your looking for something to be proud of fesae. Its all in what you like man, search the mfk forums, and find out whats best for you, if you have any questions on advise on a species or how they act, people will be happy to help ya out. Pride can be in a large variety of different looking fish, beauty, size, oddball, big eater, It all depends on what ya like I sappose.
