Unique? Only thing I see unique is the number of dorsal finlets. Your gal only has 6 while fishbase has them listed as 7-8 I think. (Mine has 8.) You may have a mutant. ;-)

definitely agree with ricky and cohazard...

the head is quite unusual for a senegalus...especially since it basically looks like a palmas polli head without all the same pigmentation.

and my references to hybridization were based on the fact that they are farm-bred/"mass-produced" now...quite easy for hybrids to occur with that stuff going on.

Bottom pic because I'm too lazy to scroll all the way up to see all of the pics lol. You'd have to look at chromosome numbers on each of the species if you were serious about seeing if you've got a hybrid. (Have not heard of it, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.)

B.K.- thank you. it really did grow that much till i put in the larger tank. now he eats non-stop and i am seeing some marked gowth.

Druu- chromosome numbers??? hmm, really dont care if its is a confirmed hybrid or not. i just think is an interesting looking senegal and was sharing updates. as for hybrids, i have seen pics of at least 2 different types... ornate/endli and another site claimed endli/ansorgii.
