University of Hawaii Manoa Quarry Pond Update

I'm talking about the Japanese Gardens up behind the theater. When I was there there were tons of huge green terrors in there, along with koi, black pacu, bala sharks, convicts, and some African cichlids. I also spotted some in Manoa creek.

All I ever caught in the quarry pond were red devils, convicts, jags, and 5 star generals. Oh yeah, and some huge freshwater prawns.

The snakehead ponds are private as far as I know.

Yeah I will have to try that out. Pretty sure its very frowned upon to fish there though, but whatever.

Anyone gone to the quarry pond at UH lately? Never been there before, planning on going tomorrow.

A long time ago (35yrs) the quarry has some really big Peacock bass. This is before they build the tennis courts, baseball stadium, etc.

Are there any fw ponds on the big island that I can fish?
Preferebly near Hilo.
