University Student Builds Working Tank!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
can I place my order for one here???? but I'll take my with a potatoe launcher instead, makes amo less expensive.=)

For sure, the ATF would be interested. But the act of building it is what's gonna throw up red flags for the Bureau. They get a little fussy about private citizens building mechanized military weaponry! I think someone in law enforcement is having flashbacks of when that guy, in I think LA, got a hold of the tank and took it out on the freeway!

A friend of mine once got busted for his "spudzooka". If fired potatos using propane. ATF busted him, i think they just beat the FBI to the punch. It doesnt have to be manufactured in a factory to be a gun or a weapon and they have that versatile term "destructive device". Ofcourse the real clincher is what you get caught DOING or planning to do with your toys.

But waaaay cool though. I think he ought to go fill out a bunch of paperwork. Theres a guy in Orange County that legally owns a Mig-21. He is ofcourse rich and filled out the appropriate paperwork. Other people have tried to import military aircraft and gone to prison. its all about the paperwork.
Watch DMV get tank boy for driving without registration and insurance. LOL

If you read the article the kid said he got the idea because of some paintball WWII reenactments he had been in. Instead of tanks they used golf carts. So he decided to make one for himself. Besides the gun, there is really not much to worry about from this guy. After working on this for so long and dumping $10,000 into it I don't think he's going to be robbing any banks. I highly doubt it has 3 inch armor as that would make so much weight, that 3 cyl. diesel would never be able to move it. It's most likely just sheet metal for looks. Anyways I just give the kid props for making it. He was really dedicated and didn't give up when he ran into problems. And trust me, the FBI, ATF or who ever have much more important things to worry about then this.

that is awesome...

I know how to destroy real tanks/soldiers inside with moltovcocktails LOL

I hope a war brakes out where I can use this... Because if it doesn't, I've just wasted my brain on something pointless
