You can but Hikari first bites but he already looks to have some size. I use that when they first become free swimming until they are a 3/4" or so. Either baby brine shrimp or I just crush up regular brine shrimp. Then after they get some more size start crushing up pellets and keep the diet varied.

crushed flake work. i have several batches of the same mix but from the looks of yours the blue is the female. my yellow is the female and mine are going to be mainly yellow with blue fins and blue face. i thought i got a breeding pair of yellow labs and it turns out it was two females and they both hook up with the same blue male. watch your fishes throat to see if its swollen. she will refuse to eat during this time. that means she has babies in her mouth and she will hold them there till they get too big. look up stripping mouth brooders fry. you can get them out and separate them yourself and then return her to the main tank.

Put him in anything. Could be a gallon jug or a bucket temporarily till you get something proper. You can even grow him out in one of those critter cages.

most of those electric yellows an i believe the blue haps as well mostly eat vegitation an algee. i would try some sort of sea weed or spirulina flak crunched up small

Wow, that's pretty cool. Not sure what it is though.
