unknown black tetra???

my lfs got in some tetras along with lemon tetras I orderd but the others were just called black tetras and they looked just like the lemons but they were black, does anyone know wat they could have been and maybe a better common name other than black tetras?

the fish had same body and fin shape as lemon tetras. could it be a subspecies or variant of the lemon tetra they came in the same shipment as the lemons I orderd and they were labled black tetra wish a had a pic but I dont

Hard to identify without seeing a picture. Does it have a red eye like the Lemon Tetra. A lot of tetras have the same similar shape. The Black Neon is the only other black tetra that has red on its eye.

I am thinking black phantom they are similar in shape to the lemon tetra.
