It's always good to research any species that you are planning to keep, but please keep in mind that MINIMUM tank sizes are always hotly debated. IMO a lot of the "care sheets" found on the WWW are on the ridiculous side, such as a 55 gallon being the minimum for an adult Oscar. Sometimes is best to just ask questions on a forum such as MFK, where there's more than likely several members or more that have first hand experience.
