Unknown invert in my RCS breeding tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i found some of those in my tank as well from some water lettuce given to me from a pond. Creepy aren't they!

A few people have mentioned that dragonfly nymphs can bite you; this is nothing to worry about. The nymphs can't hurt you. You can pick them up with your fingers without fear. Adult dragonflies can bite a little harder, but it's still not bad- just surprising!

Yeah, I found three of them in my RCS tank last year.
Dragonfly Nymph, they are one ugly/scary bug.

They also HIDE they well. I thought I got them all removed only to find one more, very large one a month later.

Remove ASAP they will eat your baby shrimp.

You ordered from TaDeGe didn't you? How do you like his shrimp?
Pond store in FL, and the bulby plant sound like him. :D
Hahaha! That's exactly who I ordered from! He's got some great shirmp.

A berry refers to a female shrimp carrying eggs under the tail.
You can also call them pregnant, but don't mistake the saddle for developing eggs. Those aren't fertilized.

Ok, that's what I thought. I've had quite a few berries then. I also watched one of them give birth one night. That was crazy!
