Woke up this morning. Fish berating hard and banging into stuff like they have no balance. Did a large WC yesterday Bc ammonia was high. Heavily aerated with power heads. What else can I do.

Probably is still high. 125 gallon up for 2 years. Filled with South American chiclids. I don't know why my ammonia spiked. Perhaps mini cycle or my bb colony is compromised.

Check your water parameters again. Do 30%-40% w/c changes daily until ammonia is under control. Also, add a bit more Prime than normally with each w/c as well.

When was the last time you cleaned your canister filters? Was there a power outage in the middle of the night? A dirty canister can go anaerobic in power outage and when the power returns, it can flush out amonia and sulfide. ehe

Forgot to add that in addition to the daily w/c, you need to thoroughly clean out those filters. Rinse bio media with tank water and get rid of the all the filter pads that are in there now.

The parameters weren't awful just did one. I lost a ton of my stock. The parameters are ph less the 6 put stuff in there to raise it. Ammonia 2 nitrite 0 and nitrates 0-5. I added 3 caps of prime. What else should I do? Add some bb from a bottle?

Add some Seachem Stability at each WC. It will help.
