It is very possible to cause more harm than good when attempting to level a tank. A few key details need to be noted...

Being "out of level" is absolutely zero risk to a tank. The risk comes from torque pressures being applied. Torque would be created when the panes are being bent.

A pane that is flat (no bending pressure) but is at a slight angle (unlevel) is under no torque and is under no threat of breaking.

It is completely possible for a tank to appear "level" but the bottom pane to be under torque...

The critical key is to ensure the tank sit flat on it's stand... and there is no torque on the tank...

Also note, glass is much more prone to breakage under torque pressure than acrylic... though that is not to suggest acrylic cannot break under torque (it just takes more).

very good right up on this. I have allways made sure that my stands are perfectly level so the weight was distributed properly so no pressure was all the way on one panel of glass. I never new that the stand not being level diddnt matter. Thanks for the insight.

It is normal for a garage floor to slope. The slope should be away from the house so any water that is spilled on a garage floor will flow away from the house and out the garage door.

Same is true for basement but the slope is more complex. A properly poured concrete basement should slope from the center to all four corners (if a french drain is installed) or towards the sump pump pit.

My basement tanks have different thickness shims under each leg. Where the tanks are, the floor slopes right to left and front to back.

Follow nc_nutcases advice regarding tank to stand flatness. Another way to look at it is if you had a 6" thick plate of steel between the tank and stand. The steel plate would be perfectly flat against the tank. It would not matter if the steel plate was on uneven legs or floor because the steel plate would keep its flat shape against the bottom of the tank. The water may not be level inside the tank but the tank glass panels would have no torque pressure.
