Unplanted my planted tank

Sorry to hear about your planted tank. You have a talent when it comes to planted tanks. The new look looks good too. Maybe you'll slowly bounce back with the plants.:)

meh, i see lots of space for a 405gal tank, yet no tank. what's this man?

haha, sorry for your loss, it was a joy to look at your scape

Dont get so against live plants all of a sudden, I have something that was labeled dwarf hairgrass at petco and have completely and utterly nelected it and it has grown amazingly and propogates super fast. I have like an 11 watt bulb in my 5 gallon ad don't always even turn the light on. I haven't even looked at co2 or ferts and they're in regular petco gravel from when I was in 5th grade. Try em if you want a carpet. I bet they would grow extremely fast and extremely healthy in a setup as incredble as yours, even if you had a power outage 3 days a week. Also, I think some duckweed or other floating plant would look incredible in your tank, especially because its rimless. I know these are noob plants, but they would get the job done imo

looks good either way IMO.
of course it sucks to loose your plants and hard work but you still got your fish.

seen your threads before of this tank and it is inspiring me to do a rimless cube tank along side my 125. petsmart sells a 27 gallon cube that would fit nice in my room, do you know of any threads that show how to remove the rim of the tank?
