I have a 20 gallon tank that is no longer in use because its inhabitants have been moved to my 75 gallon. It has everything it needs (heater filter undergravel hood light) I just dont know what to do with it. I was going to move my clown knife into it becuase he appeared to be sick, but is now over it.

I always wanted to get 2 piranhas, but I think that will be to small for them.

please help me decide.

Make it a planted tank with some of the smaller SH.

SH = snake head

You could also use it for a feederbreeder or hospital or qrnt. tank

Howdy,

yeah, that'd be pretty tight in there pretty soon. Put some plants in there so that it looks nice and use it as quarantine/feeder tank. In my eyes, that's the best use of a surplus tank.

20g furnished tank hmmm, How about a few plants, a leopard bushfish (Ctenopoma acutirostre), one of the smaller synodontis cats like a penny cat (Synodontis nummifer), and a pair of something like redfin barbs (Barbus camptacanthus). Together they would pretty much max out the tank but would make a nice little African tank.
Glad to here the knife is looking better.

I had a breeding pair of Angelfish in a 20g High one time. That was fun until I lost interest. They were prolific breeders. You could almost set a watch by them. Every two weeks without fail eggs would appear on the slate. It took them a couple of times at it to become good parents. Amyhow that may be a thought for your tank.
