My green arowana has been swimming against the bubbles coming from the airstone for a couple of hours now (I don't know how long but it would be atleast 3 hours now), is this normal?

Okay, you may be wondering why I have an airstone, a couple of days back, may arowana had gill infection so I placed one to help its breathing, it just got all better yesterday and is now eating normal. It is about 4"-4.5" and water parameters are at 0.009 ammonia and 7.4 PH. water temp is at 29C.

Should I be worried? The airstone is in the corner so the arowana is just swimming in that small corner as if trying to penetrate the glass through the corner.

Can someone please advice?
Also, is velvet disease possible in arowana?

should I turn off the aerator? I think this is not healthy for the fish...

if I bother the arowana, it swims toward me as if asking for food, but gets back to its business with the airstone when it finds out I have none.

if i turn it off, it looks for them in the airstone...
the arowana would swim around but noticeably stays longer where the airstone is and constantly checks for the bubbles...

i have to admit, it's quite fun watching him... i just hope that he's just playing around though

Relocate that airstone? Maybe at the center on the base of the tank with an airplate instead of a airstone? See how it will react to it.

that was actually a cool idea koji, atleast he'll be playing around in the middle.ü
i'll have to check when I get home, I haven't seen the fish for a couple of hours now (am at work), I hope he's okay...

its kinda like how a guy had a angel fish that loved the bubles but died after somthing happened too the bubple i woulr maki somthing like a drip plat and place the pump tube under and it would be a field of bubles he like it better :)
