my two bits are nothing as backed up as zoodiver as this is his world of expertise so definatly listen to him without question. my experince with all 7 bamboos ive owned is they all have there own personality. ive had some that are not active unless food is in. some that never stop moving for hours, my 3 ft banded will lay motionless until i come to the pool side and then swim at thje surface checking me out and letting me play with her. had that eat right off the get go and others that required pataince. my biggest advise here for what it is worth, is stop playing with the water so much to help them all calm down. thats the bonus to slatwater just letting things be, no fish new or old would be happy with us in there twice a week. on a last note, do be very carefull with the rocks, i learnt that the hard way may he rest in peace. make sure they are very stable, it is amazing at there sizes how easily they can move they rocks around if they get jammed. my only shark ever lost was not crushed, but made is way so far into the rocks around a bend that he could not wiggle his way back out. all of my set ups from there on, i have glued they rocks together so they cant move, and to block little dangous passeges to prevent ever losing one again that way. check out my new shark pool thread on here and youll see the rock caves i made and how presily they were glued to allow little fish in, and keep the sharks out. whats your temp at?
