that was my water test and it isnt that good :/ i think i have messed this up but i guess it’s all trial and error. i’ll do a water change and test again and keep you updated. i’m also going to buy the API products they say to get in the leaflet in this testing kit because that would help me a lot.
You need to put the correct amount of water in the test vials before adding the reagents otherwise your results will be way off.
The test for ammonia had too much water in it and the last one for nitrate did not have enough water in it.
Be sure to shake the reagent bottles according to the instructions before dispensing the drops into the vials and follow the wait time before reading the results.

i didnt expect anything like this at all! i was told last minute that tropical are the easiest to look after, although i had gone to get goldfish! i think he was trying to sell more fish :/ but i had no idea about all these water levels and everything - i knew about conditioners and some problems that could occur but i had never researched tropical fish at all and i was (still am) very unprepared :/ but i guess it’s a case of trial and error.
