about 2yrs ago i had my 1st s.a. r.t. cat about 26" and it ate 2 of my friends 8" oscars 1 after the other . the 1 went all the way down the other was hanging half way out dead for a week . the bummer was i couldnt do anything about it :(

I've had fish literally disappear into thin air, never to be found again. One time when I was doing water changes I had a water deionizer filling up a tank with a baby tiger shovelnose cat as the only occupant. The phone rang and I got distracted and forgot all about the fact that my tank was being filled up. When I remembered, I went to find water was leaking on the floor and the shovelnose was gone. I sware I looked all over the entire room under every shelf, behind every aquarium, in every aquarium and he never turned up. That's about the weirdest fish death thus far...

I woke up one morning to find all 8 of my clown loaches decided to swim up the intake of my magnimum canister filter!! LOL!! All 8 of them were in there happily swim around in the current pickin at the little pieces of debris. Needless to say after that I put a cover over the end of the intake so they wouldn't swim up it. Weirdest way I lost a fish..hmmm.....during a water change i had a cichlid get freaked and jumped out....unfortunately there was fan on the ground that i had on high to help dry out any spills i made...well the cichlid went right between the cover braces and into the fan blades....it was over just as quick as it started. Twas very surprisin for me cuz before i could do anything it was over. I just stared there in shock and the fan.....and pieces of cichlid.

:yuck:  Damn Peanut that is rough.
