It looks like a regular green/turquoise severum, but all the others I've seen have vertical stripes, or at least one vertical stripe near the tail. This one has never exhibited any vertical banding, not even when stressed. It was sold to me as a rotkiel, obviously mislabeled. Is this anything special, or just a normal variation of a green severum?

I don't know honestly it looks excellent tho. It reminds me of the true parrot, though the scientific name I can't think of off the top of my head

Reminds me of heros notatus possibly mixed with a green

I've never seen one quite like that. Usually turquoise will show the dark bar near the tail like greens do. Maybe it has something to do with gold severum genes which don't show bars.

i've seen a few on here like that, i think it was UkCraig or something like that had a nice looking one. they are a beautiful strain of severums

Looks most like Heros notatus. Although they usually have some banding (although less than greens).
I'd say yours is a possibly notatus with some sort of mutation which stops the expression of the banding. Lovely fish though !

Wow that is stunning, I want one!!

I don't think it's notatus. My notatus have spots rather than striations, and just generally have a different overall color. It's entirely possible that it's got notatus in it, I guess. I learned the hard way that notatus will spawn with efasciatus.
