Damn, that’s nuts, especially the ray. I’ve spent all my life in the southwest and have had scorpions, centipedes, snakes and widows all around, but have never taken a sting or bite from anything but mosquitos and bees.
I did have a javalina attack my car and knock the bumper off, leave two holes in the door and sh*t all over the car door for good measure
You have a lot more control than I do, I’d be eating a javalina steak that night if it did that to my car.

Now back on topic, back when Georgia actually would get cold in winter I’d always end up with a bunch of ants hiding under my hobs. An insane amount which I’d gladly sweep into the tanks as snacks for the various tetras that inhabited it.

I think I’d have to be eating a lot of steak, I was stopped to let a pack of about 30 finish crossing and one must’ve not liked my car.

Ok guys, I've never in my born days heard of an animal called a "javelina", and now I've just heard it twice in a couple of posts!

I'm pretty clued up on animals, but I'll not lie to you, I had to look this particular dude up. In future can we just refer to this animal as a "pig", lol.

And yeah Brian, I'm with you on this one, pig steak sounds good!

In AZ they’re called javalina cuz of the spear like tusks but I Guess we can call it a pig but it’s not really a pig lol

Now you know how I feel occasionally when I read posts from yall blokes across the pond haha

Haha nice. I also have spider interlopers that seem to coexist with my garage tanks. Quite frequently at morning feedings they scatter off the top of the tank, presumably hunting for other critters that are feeding on the errant nls pellets scattered about.

I abide spiders in my household to a certain extant, even the black widows and brown recluse that i see with regularity in the garage and under the deck. For some reason ive always felt comfortable with them, and as long as they are lurking i never see roaches, ants, mice. When my fiance spots one in the upper rooms i simply contain them and move them to my outer fence, recite a brief incantation to wish them well and urge them to bite any intruders.

I think the ones that fall into the garage tank get eaten. I keep the garage tanks very hungry lol.
