the news is real things happening to real people. that's what i'm saying. a normal person should know what they are watching. whatever loosened the screw to begin with can only be speculated. we shouldn't assume it was the influence of tv or music. I think tv or music only brings out what was already screwed up. it isn't the problem

why are fictional tv shows entertaining??

why is sports entertaining? why is hiking entertaining? why is reading entertaining?

what kind of question is that?

"the news is real things happening to real people." thanks cpt.obvious.lol I'm not speculating at all.people have confessed to crimes and stated that tv or music had influenced them.It's a fact. I did speculate as to the effect watching the news or certain types of fiction could have on someone.as in causing depression,anger,outrage etc...leading to all kinds of negative behavior.sure they may have had problems,but yes,I know that some shows could make it worse and trigger an event.such as more positive shows could actually be inspiring and lift someone out of depression.
 
the reason we started discussing in the first place is your insane logic about if you watch violent shows then you deserve it if something bad happens to you

I said that is insane logic. which it is. and I said people should just do what I do, know what is real and what is not.

you said watch the news "if I wanna see crazy" in the world. which had nothing to do with what I was saying, but whatever, I responded by saying, "that's what i'm saying" the news is real and violent shows are fantasy. don't call me capt obvious when you brought it up and I only responded

if you are messed up enough to not know the difference, and act out a violent crime because of the fantasy tv show, then you got other issues.

blaming the shows is just some people trying to find a loop hole or get out of an easier sentence. to get others to feel sorry for them, to put blame on something else. but the real issue is not the shows and music, those people are sick to begin with or just someone trying to take advantage of blaming other things
 
there are plenty of positive shows to watch, go right ahead

tv comedies, nature shows, the view, the ellen degeneras show, take your pick and have at it
 
I would hardly call the view a positive show. For one there's a racist on there. Without bringing politics up, most lean to one side of that field. I've never been able to watch more then 5 minutes before changing in disgust.
 
They talk politics(mostly from just one side). It always seems like they are fighting with someone.
