I've gotten Ich fish from Petsmart twice and Petco once. Got a quarantine tank now though. All new fish go through a heat & salt treatment for 10 days before going into any of my main tanks, whether I spot ich or not.

It's good to be safe then sorry (or you can have your tank always be 84*)

all of our petsmarts are next to best buy. 5 miles or so away from target in another town technically. mine just dropped the price of rams to 2.49, senegals are 2.49. clown loaches are 4. peacock eels are 4.50. almost all of their more expensive fish. but the other day i got an african featherfin cat for a buck. the number they wrote on the bag was for the small plecos they thought it was because it was in the wrong tank. this is why i never act like i know what im talking about because if i would have said something i would have been out about 20 bucks.

We had a big one in our store once. Easily 6 inches, I didn't have the tank space or size though. It was a beast, we even named it after an employee that got fired there. Steve left us though within a week after naming him.

Visited the local Petsmart about 4 weeks ago and saw they had male Endlers in one of their 'mixed tanks', but no price tag. Was back in a couple of times over the next week and the Endlers didn't seem to be selling at all (and still no price tag). Anyway had a 6g doing nothing and after speaking with a mate at work who used to keep them, decided to go back for them. Sales associate didn't have a clue what I was talking about when I said I wanted the Endlers (there were 9) so I pointed them out to her and she got them out, then started trying to find the price tag. After having just about every person who worked there look they eventually got the manager who gave up and said "sell them as neon's", $1 each.
Was back in a couple of days later and they'd found the price tag for the Endlers - $3.49 each, only trouble was they didn't have any cos I'd bought them all!
Got some breeding pairs online so I think I'll be going back to Petsmart in a couple of months to see how much they'll give me for the offspring!
