Damn maybe i should try to re-introduce a large pleco into my tank but my dovii so far will allow nothing in his tank..........

Well if you are willing to deticate a large tank for one fish its well worth it....You will enjoy a dovii everytime you watch it. Their personality is unmatched when they are large IMO...
 
Great pictures of your dovii. He looks like a true monster. Wonderful color on that bad boy. My largest male dovii is only about 8.5 inches and has a long way to reach that size. He killed his girlfriend (8 inch female dovii) on July 4th. That was completely depressing. They had just spawned and everything appeared fine, until he just lost it and tore her apart.

My dovii is the most active fish i've ever owned....He will attack the glass hard if you come within 5ft. of his tank...The things with dovii's is the bigger they get usually the meaner and more aggressive they get and if you give them excellent water parameters and plenty of space there colors will blow you away.
