Do you think your white substrate brings the chocolates colors out more? I have my 4 inch juvi on black gravel, he or she is mostly purple

Sent from my iPhone using MonsterAquariaNetwork app

I have them over pool filter sand,i guess the natural color works well for them.(never had them over dark substrate so not sure the affect on color)

Awesome. Glad to see your still into the Big Guys! Would love to see some more pics of ur tanks. I still have my loach tank but I got into Salt about a year ago. Been busy keepin a 90g Reef.

Glad to see you on the forum,(still into the big guys)I guess you dont remember your old eartheater(the on inthe picture is the one you gave me over almost 2 years ago.(promised i would take care of it as you can see it is doing great and has been in several differant setups but always does good no matter what fish it goes with)

Nice John, do you have a male and two females? I coundn't get my three Krobia X.O. to get along in a 220 but I have two males and a female. The colors on those guys are awsome great job.

Yes thats 2 females and 1 male they get along great in a 125(thats the trio i offered to give to you)since they didnt go to you i just keep them, ever set up another tank they are yours.
btw,we need another meet and greet havent gotten together in awhile.

Tempting! Yes, I remember them I might just have to do some shuffeling. I have some nice Krobi X.O. growouts about 1-1.25" if you want to give'em a try let me know. I gave John "TFJ" about 50 a month ago.

Love the Chocolates! I would like to keep this species some day. I actually saw a pretty large one at a LFS a few years ago. Bad thing was it was labeled as an exotic Oscar. I informed the store owner of what the fish actually was but it didn't matter. He sold it as an Oscar and made a quick twenty bucks. I wonder if the buyer knew what they were really getting. Anyway I really like stock, Buddha. I think these are the best Chocolates that I have ever seen!

Not sure how I missed this ... great Peruvian chocolates (I'm assuming Peruvian, those are the only ones I've seen that turn that bright red).
