All facts about food aside, as I'm sure both formulas will give your fish above average nutrition, I'd expect a bit more professionalism from the owner of a fish food manufacturer. I mean, in my eyes if a ceo or other high position is willing to post at a public level, (which I've never seen before), is a rare and special thing because you never see direct contact between customer and the shot caller, but the poor professionalism and even writing skills is definitely a turnoff for customers, just for your information.

aclockworkorange, if you only see 5% difference in those formulas from NLS then I don't think is even worth to explain anything else.

Um, can you point out one significant ingredient that's all that different than NLS besides you shuffling them around for more or less kelp? And I'm not talking about the clay either, dianichi has had that gimmick for years.

@ NFC

I would like to try out some of your food. Do you offer any samples? Is there somewhere in the states where I can buy some. Thanks.

Thank you for your feedback, as far as I know I never verbally attacked anyone or made any product look bad or even have any intention. One thing that I will not take is brainwashing and if needed i will always step in to put facts on the table. After being in this industry for the past 25 years i know exactly how is done and what it takes, no surprises for me, I was running food extruders way before most of private labels existed.

I'm posting on the forums for the past 20 years higher or lower position makes no difference. I'm also a advanced hobbyist with advanced MTS.

Been there done that, no point of hiding behind anyone back.

Cheers

Hmm OK,
Organic Kelp, Natural Spirulina, Natural Astaxantin, please don't confuse all three products with the algae meal, nothing similar and not he same. If they claiming that they put then they should list on the label if not listed that mean not there simple as that. High Omega-3 (DHA) herring meal again not the same as a regular, price wise and protein ratio is different from the lower grade herring meal. Sardine meal and of course the magic Clay. Clay is used not only in Dainichi, I can recall the names but I noticed the Clay in another 2 or3 fish foods one of them another Canadian Brand I think.

So here we go 5 ingredients that are not listed and one is a fish meal and still not the same kind.

Question for you, do they have a Veggie Formula? not very shure what you are trying to compare.

Cheers

Very informative and interesting thread

Agreed. I have learned a bunch about foods in general.

RD, do you own, or work for NLS? You defend / promote it like it is your child to the point of mild aggression.

Herring or sardine? Big deal. You're really rewriting the book there.

Organic kelp? Fancy. Natural spirulina? As opposed to unnatural spirulina? Both of these are found in NLS, again, not doing anything different, if you want to deny it then fine with me. Also kelp has been featured in omega one for years. And clay we already talked about. Astaxanthin? You feel the need to supplement it in a krill rich pellet that already naturally contains it, fine with me.

But please point out where you're rewriting the book here... You're standing on the shoulders of other fish food companies and bashing them when I seriously doubt that you would have come up with your formula without them.
