A few pictures of my NTT. In one you can see the bully. It strange how they live together. You'd expect the RTG to be in control. The NTT lives in the teracota barrel, the RTG does try to nip it but most of the time the NTT shoots out and hits it on the gill plates. I've started to notice small nicks on the surface of the gill plates now, as if the top layer of flesh is being sucked or bitten off.
I am going to get 2 more NTTs to live in this tank.

Wow. Very nice. One of the cleanest ntt I have ever seen.

It's about 6". It won't eat anything except ghost shrimp and i'm not sure how i can get it on anything else.
This fish can turn unstable if i look at it for too long, but then it switches back as quick.
Ade, i am going to get 2, I want to buy them at this size though so i have to wait until i find them.

Very nice buddy, interesting about your rtg,did you see the marks on my rtg in my thread, does it look the same, because my IT does exactly the same thing?

Just taken a look at your set up and RTG thread, i must say very nice and clean tanks. Thant's what my tank is lacking, I just don't have the eye for it as you do.
I can't really see any marks but i need to look closely at my own fish to see it.
But yes i think it's damage from your IT, It looks like just the surface has been scrached off, about 2 to 3 mil wide. My RTG has chipped scales and has knocked a few scales off in the past. It's only since my NTT has started to stick up for itself that i've seen these marks. When the NTT goes it's jaws extend, but lightning fast. The RTG gets out of the way pretty quickly as well.
I know it's a powerful hit, this may sound strange but if i'm watching closely when it happens, it's like i can feel the power of the strike!
