is the jar causin any problems? u think the tank size has more to do with jardini's being more placid n docile? my 20" jar is a punk in the 150, but im hopin for some peace n quiet in the 400. any dithers in there that helps keep agression down that you would recommend? awesome fish man, just awesome.

saw it and posted on that thread too! :headbang2

thanks jarboy!!!:D

so what are you currently feeding your aros???

I try to feed them as varied a diet as possible and keep them fat and healthy. On a weekly basis, they get live shrimp, prawn meat, fish fillets, crickets, superworms frogs and pellets. They also sometimes get earthworms and suid fillets, but not every week.

I don't feed live fish. I think it helps with the aggression as the big guys don't see the little ones as a source of food..

Looking good. Has the tanning affected any of the other fish noticably? pbass etc

Thanks bro! :D

Not that I'm aware of. The coloration of all my fish is generally quite good for their individual species (blush), but I think that's due to a varied diet and the additives I use (blackwater, fresh garlic and aloe extract).

awesome fish!! how much do you feed those MONSTERS?

Thanks bro! :D

I've posted what i feed them above. It's difficult to post amounts because the food is all different shapes and sizes, but it's a "fairly substantial amount". :nilly:

you have some sweet fish ;)
what is your tank size ??

greetz...

My tank is not much bigger than yours ... 6.5x2x2, ~200 gallons.

Jars are hit and miss (more often miss) ... I guess I've just been lucky. I'm not sure whether a bigger tank will help your situation. Sorry.. :(
